As a Mental Health Assistant Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting social workers in their duties while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of social worker assistants. This position requires a deep understanding of social work principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and individuals.
*Responsibilities:*
* Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of social worker assistants.
* Coordinate team activities and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular team meetings to discuss cases, provide updates, and address any challenges or concerns.
* Assist social workers in conducting client assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions.
* Provide support to clients and families by connecting them with resources, services, and community organizations.
* Coordinate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and educators, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including case notes, assessments, and progress reports.
* Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality and data protection.
* Assist social workers in preparing reports for internal use or external agencies as required.
* Facilitate training sessions for social worker assistants on topics such as case management, communication skills, and cultural competence.
* Provide ongoing mentorship and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
* Collaborate with social workers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and stakeholders to address concerns, provide information, and facilitate access to services.
*Requirements:*
* Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; LMSW or LCSW license preferred.
* Previous experience in a social work or human services setting, with supervisory experience.
