Materials Handler- Forge 3rd shift

<b>Position Purpose:</b> <br> <br> Responsible for confirming with the supervisor what parts are being ran at the lines and shears. Makes sure heat codes do not get mixed at the lines and that all boxes have tags and pieces counts on them at the lines, wheelabrators, and shears. At the wheelabrators the material handler ensures that correct parts are being put into the wheelabrators. Responsible for taking the box from the wheelabrator and places it on to the scale and fills out new tag with weight, pieces count, part, and box number.<br> <br>Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $20.00<br> <br> <b>Essential Functions:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Makes sure parts are put away into proper areas. </li> <li>Dumps flash bins at end of shift. </li> <li>Works well with supervision and co-workers.</li> <li>Ensures line, wheelabrator, and shear boxes are changed in a timely manner.</li> <li>Checks that heat codes do not get mixed at the lines.</li> <li>Ensures boxes are stack properly.</li></ul> <br> <b>Education and Training</b> <br> <br>High school diploma or GED<br> <br>Forklift experience helpful<br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications</b> <br> <ul> <li>Ability to read English and follow verbal and written work instruction.</li> <li>Forklift Certification and other material handling equipment as needed.</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Basic math skills</li> <li>Ability to work well with others.</li> <li>Ability to read work orders and packing slips.</li> <li>Computer literacy in order to record information.</li> <li>Demonstrated dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations.</li></ul> <br> <b> Physical Demands</b> <br> <ul> <li>Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively.</li> <li>Ability to drive forklift continuously for 8-12 hours.</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 20lbs repetitively.</li> <li>Acceptable eye/hand coordination and motor skills to carry out job functions.</li></ul> <br> <b>Environmental Conditions</b> <br> <ul> <li>Exposure to loud noise.</li> <li>Exposure to hot and humid conditions.</li> <li>Double hearing protection and eye protection is required at all times in all production areas.</li> <li>Steel toe boots with metatarsals are required at all times. </li></ul> <br> <b>Hendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
