Alliance Machine & Engraving, LLC is a division of The Bradbury Group specializing in engraving and embossing equipment located in Ashland, VA, just outside of Richmond.

We are looking for a Sales person to join our team. This person will have a general understanding of Manufacturing operations and processes and be responsible for selling our rollers and machinery to companies worldwide. The ability to work between various departments including purchasing, engineering and accounting will be necessary. Alliance sells to many different markets and attends various trade shows throughout the year. This role will include prospecting of new customers as well as maintaining the relationships we currently have. Our sales staff are responsible for knowing or learning about the different aspects of the industrial engraving and machinery business and for working with customers to augment their lines with embossing or calendaring machinery, replace rollers, re-engrave rollers, and/or produce new artwork for new pattern development. We provide service with our products and have technicians that travel to customer’s facilities to touch up rollers, help commission new machinery or troubleshoot and solve problems. These services reinforce and augment our sales and relationships.

Role
  • Handle relationships of assigned accounts.
  • Develop new customers.
  • Grow core markets.
  • Document sales files, CRM database and commercial details of projects.
  • Conduct site visits
  • Understand our product offerings and serve as a go-to source for clients who want more information concerning our products.
  • Provide/coordinate direction on project concepts including engineering reviews.
  • Generate price quotes with costing backups and managers or department heads’ help
  • Communicate with other departments, i.e. Engineering, Accounting, Manufacturing to coordinate project scheduling information for customers.
  • Marketing, to include organization of trade shows, press releases, email campaigns.
  • Be educated on industry trends, competitors and customer use of marketing tools.
  • Increase customer contact points via our marketing tools, measured by analytics and conversions.
  • Create updates to social media, company websites.
  • Prepare and present marketing initiatives
  • Feel free to think out of the box
Qualifications
  • An inquisitive nature, desire to learn, interest in how things work
  • A minimum of 5 years in Sales, preferable dealing with roller processed industrial webs, steel strip or extrusion based industries
  • An engineering or engineering technology background or experience
  • Basic knowledge of Manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Experience in Use of Internet Marketing tools i.e. Hub Spot, Google Analytics, etc
  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous client companies and customers.

  • Ability to travel (approximately 1 week/month)

Working Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F
