We are one Snap-on team.<br> <br>Overview <br> <br>Snap-on Tools is seeking a candidate to provide support through various disciplines to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with proper processes. We are looking to provide internship opportunities to skilled and high achieving engineering students. This is a great opportunity to broaden and gather hands-on experience with real-world engineering projects.<br> <br> <b> Responsibilities </b> <br> <br> <ul> <li>Work on updating all tool sheets and other job routing related tasks.</li> <li>Assist with execution of production improvement projects to increase productivity.</li> <li>Work with teams in Kaizen events to produce new processes to improve work flow.</li> <li>Communicate with production planning, plant supervision, engineering staff, and operators to ensure that they are informed of manufacturing plans. </li> <li>General Process and Product issue resolution due to normal process variation.</li> <li>Project implementation for new processes and new product launches.</li> <li>Continuous improvement activities benefiting safety, quality, delivery, and cost.</li></ul> <br> <b> Qualifications </b> <br> <br> <ul> <li>Actively enrolled in bachelor's degree program in a manufacturing engineering discipline from an accredited institution.</li> <li>Sophomore standing or higher.</li> <li>Additional skills sought include high attention to detail, solid oral and written communication and personal interactions skills, and the ability to work on and complete multiple tasks in a timely fashion.</li> <li>Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.</li> <li>Must have an eager attitude to learn and develop new skills.</li> <li>Must be willing to be hands on with projects.</li> <li>Must have excellent communication skills including written (email correspondence, report writing, etc.) as well as formal and informal presentation skills. </li> <li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite products.</li> <li>Must align with the Snap-on "Who We Are" Mission statement.</li> <li>Working knowledge of: Blueprints, Manufacturing processes, Lean Methodologies, Process design, and 6S practices.</li> <li>Must have a solid understanding of process flow, process design, and lean manufacturing principles.</li></ul><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjE3MDg4LjEyNTI0QHNuYXBvbmNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
