This job was posted by : For more information, please see: DESCRIPTION Overview: The Maintenance and Sanitation role is responsible for ensuring daily maintenance and housekeeping of the facility is performed to American Institute of Baking (AIB)/ Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards. Cleaning and inspection schedules and records must be maintained on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Facility deficiencies must be immediately brought to the attention of supervision/management. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities: This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Managing a staff that performs cleaning and inspections. Oversight of required janitorial/sanitation records. Advise and manage personnel with equipment, building and surrounding maintenance as needed. Determine and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance, as directed or needed. Included air conditioning/HVAC, water and sewer lines, plumbing and repair, wet network/sprinkler systems, concrete/floor repair, maintenance of racks and mezzanines, lighting and fixtures, electricity (high power), general construction. Construction may include painting, power-washing, furniture/equipment, floor/parking lot/drive area striping, roofing, etc. Ensure equipment and chemical supplies are maintained per schedule and operational at all times. Oversight and management of the maintenance and repair of all APLL owned assets. Ensures inventory in good repair and running order to meet shift requirements Makes suggestions for new equipment purchases, upgrades, and used disposition Keeps up to date on innovations and warehouse equipment standards Budgeting Operate basic equipment and machines, and carry out routine tasks. Involves following strict, detailed instructions Equipment Maintenance and Repair Ensures all building, equipment and operating systems are fully functional and utilizable for operations. Maintains equipment to a standard the strives for lowest cost at highest performance. Health, Safety and Environment Follow basic mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others. Key Result Areas Apply the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model for operational efficiency to improve business process, increase proficiency and increase efficiency through waste elimination. Housekeeping/janitorial standards met Position requires the incumbent\'s performance to meet and occasionally exceed standards as set by the company for safety, quality, productivity and customer services. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: General Education High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience: Must have basic math skills Two to three (2-3) years of sanitation experience. AIB/SQF Experience - must have knowledge of AIB/SQF standards and regulations Must have attention to detail Team Player Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, debris blower/vacuum, scrubber, power-washer and snow plow/blower. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write legibly Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner Must have good interpersonal skills. The typical starting salary range for this position is: \$69,762 - \$95,000. The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location.
