The Protected Communications – Mechanical Interconnections and MCAD Section Manager will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 mechanical engineers and designers who provide mechanical engineering support to active product line programs, legacy fielded programs, business development for new captures, and to IRAD efforts. This team supports many activities, but its primary focus is on the Interconnection development and mechanical design support for satellite communication systems for airborne, shipboard and ground applications.  *This position is eligible for relocation assistance*. *Qualifications You Must Have*:     • Ability to apply mechanical engineering knowledge to solve complex design problems     • Ability to lead design teams from product concept definition to production     • Ability to interact productively with other team members across various disciplines, including systems engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management     • Ability to perform as a change agent     • Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring and reporting     • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience     • Ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance or Higher is REQUIRED *Security Clearance*:       • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date     • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance     • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements   *Qualifications We Prefer*:      • 5+ years of experience in Task Management or other Lead roles on Development programs.     • Working knowledge of military and commercial design, materials, and process specifications     • Able to identify and communicate technical issues and risks that may impact cost, schedule, or other aspects of product design     • Experience in bid and proposal development and project planning     • Experience as an IPT/CPT Lead, Chief Engineer or Program Manager     • EVMS Certified and professional exposure to EVMS or similar budget tracking system     • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills     • Experience in a product data management environment (PTC Windchill)     • Experience with RTX policies and processes *What We Offer*:  Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
