POSITION SUMMARY
The Energy Accounting Specialist in Aberdeen, SD assists the energy department by managing bookkeeping tasks to ensure continuous support across Agtegra’s territory. This position is responsible for record keeping, inventory, and customer account management for all residential, agricultural, and commercial fuel and propane customers. They must also provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the record keeping and maintenance of daily purchasing and selling transactions.
  • Accurately process customer payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and maintain customer contract commitments.
  • Consistently monitor inventory with the ability to analyze and resolve variances.
  • Provide management with accurate and detailed reports in a timely manner, as requested.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Ensure all documents are uploaded and filed in appropriate software.
  • Maintain accounting accuracy throughout multiple internal systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year technical school; or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
