<b>Job Details:</b> <br> <br>This position is responsible for collecting samples from birds at various Broiler farms while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures<br> <br> <b>Schedule: </b> 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or upon completion of assigned work Monday-Friday Saturday and Sunday as needed<br> <br> <b>Starting pay rate:</b> $18.00/hour<br> <br> <b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> <br> <br>&bull; Collect and ship serum, tissue and feed samples from Broilers<br> <br>&bull; Work with others on the farm to complete necessary tasks<br> <br>&bull; Assist live operation team with feed inventory management<br> <br>&bull; Adhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations<br> <br>&bull; Collection and reporting of performance data (weight, mortality, water consumption, etc.)<br> <br>&bull; Other specific duties as required<br> <br> <b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b> <br> <br>&bull; Ability to work and operate equipment safely and effectively<br> <br>&bull; Ability to use time wisely while working independently<br> <br>&bull; Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals<br> <br>&bull; Excellent observation skills and attention to detail, eager to learn new ideas<br> <br>&bull; Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations as required<br> <br>&bull; Must be willing to adhere to and support all company policies, programs, guidelines and standards of conduct.<br> <br> <b>Education and/or Experience</b> <br> <br>&bull; High school diploma or equivalent preferred<br> <br>&bull; Training and/or experience in Animal Science and/or Live Animal management<br> <br>&bull; Previous knowledge of Animal Welfare Standards desired<br> <br> <b>Communication Skills</b> <br> <br>&bull; Must be able to communicate effectively and write and read reports in the English language<br> <br> <b>Physical Requirements / Environment:</b> <br> <br>&bull; Frequently (3-6 hrs.): lift/carry (up to 45 lbs.), push/pull (up to 100 lbs.), crawl, crouch, kneel, squat or balance<br> <br>&bull; Frequently (3-6 hrs.): lift/carry and push/pull (up to 10 lbs.), simple/firm grasping, reaching at shoulder height or slightly above, bend/stoop, fine manipulation/hand tools, climb working at unprotected heights when on a ladder<br> <br>&bull; Continuously (6-8 hrs.): stand/walk, work around moving machinery, exposed to marked changes in temperature; outside in varied weather conditions, indoors in a regulated environment, around and amongst poultry dust, odor and blood, as well as fumes, talk and hear, use 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses<br> <br> <b>All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history.</b> <br> <br> <b> <b> <b>This facility accepts rehires after 180 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson.
