Responsibilities: MTSI is seeking an experienced Linux Security Systems Administrator to work in an exciting digital environment in Dayton OH. You will enable the transformation of our cloud adoption and operations practices. Candidate must have a strong understanding of linux services and collaborate with a group of cross-functional infrastructure engineers, and security specialists to promote cloud-first architecture and implementations. Responsibilities: Provide Linux Administration services to include, but not be limited to, the following: Systems installation & administration of physical workstations and servers across multiple Linux distros and release versions.Systems installation & administration of virtual workstations and servers across multiple Linux distros and release versions.Provide VDI integration support of Linux systems for seamless operations. Manage & maintain system images, snapshots & other virtual configurations as directed by technical leadership.Configure, maintain, manage & troubleshoot advanced configurations for supported systems, which may involve: system performance tuning, clustering, file systems, hardware, OS kernel, DNS, IP stack, network attached storage & SAN, virtual networking, Windows AD integration, LDAP integration & other advanced configuration items.Monitor system performance, to identify and correct performance issues. Manage & maintain configuration management systems, such as Puppet, and/or Ansible for continuous sustainment of the operating environment.Manage & maintain secure remote access of systems per DoD standards & guidelines.Utilize shell and utility scripting to optimize & automate standard administration tasks.Regularly audit & validate configuration of systems against established DoD policy & within any additional guidelines provided by leadership. This includes installation of HBSS, Anti-Virus & other agents as part of standard systems within AFRL operating environment.This also includes implementing the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on the various Linux operating systems.Verify, remediate & report on all IAVMs, DoD orders & suspense requirements.Provide technical oversight and consultation services in support of new technology research & configuration testing.Attend meetings, participate in conference calls and respond to ticket requests to ensure the highest standards in customer support.Work with leadership & teammates to develop and/or maintain systems documentation in support of system builds, application installs & other operations procedures.Assist with security audits & work with staff to remediate any & all security findings with supported systems & applications. · Configure & monitor backups in accordance with applicable regulations, policies & guidance. Ensure any issues/failures with backups are corrected within established SLA time lines. Routinely audit & verify backup configurations (to include test restorations), exceptions & system security configurations as established by leadership. Provide backup reporting using templates & reporting requirements as directed by leadership. work availability and capacity utilization to meet committed availability and quality of service objectives. Qualifications: Required:Minimum of 8 year as a Linux System Administrator or other relevant experience Must have a DoD IAT Level I – 8570 certification (Security+) Clearance: Top Secret Clearance Required #LI-CW1
