As a Designer/ Project Architect at SRA you will be required to work on multiple projects. You may work individually (depending on project size and scope) or in small teams. Our project types consist of primarily commercial and retail architecture. Interested candidates should possess full knowledge of architecture practice, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be proficient with the various design software utilized within the office. In order to succeed, you must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and be able to accept and adapt to change.
Minimum Requirements are as follows:
Architecture degree
Minimum 1-10+ years relevant professional experience.
Knowledge of NY Building Codes and ADA.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Strong design/creative abilities.
Ability to work well with others.
Computer skills including Revit, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop.
Skills:
Site master planning
Building space planning and interior design.
Exterior Building Design
Construction Documents
Prepare and manage project schedules.
Provide all project communication.
Interface with Clients, consultants and jurisdictional agencies.
Assign project team work to be performed.
Prepare sketches and mark up plans as required for project team.
Review and red mark project construction documents at various milestones.
Coordinate with consultant team.
Attend and conduct Client presentations.
Other tasks as necessary for the success of the project.
