About the Role:
Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for completing nursing treatments, medication administration and education, and documentation.

Job Qualifications:
  • A nursing degree from an accredited school of Nursing required
  • At least 2 years prior experience as an LPN preferably with hospital and behavioral health experience
  • Computer proficiency, including EMR
  • Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Understanding of Substance Use Disorders and Dual Diagnosis
  • Must maintain a positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, and exercise time management skills.
  • Completion of CPR and HWC prior to working the floor
  • Schedule flexibility may be required to accommodate patients
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts medication count and maintains emergency drug kit
  • Documents patient education
  • Follows admission procedures
  • Follows discharge procedures
  • Monitors health record documentation timeliness and accuracy
  • Monitors HIPAA compliance
  • Ensures OSHA and employee illness or injury procedures are followed
  • Receives medications from pharmacy and stores appropriately
  • Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory laws
  • Performs pain assessment and is knowledgeable about pain management
  • Follows workplace injury procedures
  • Reports medication errors or "near misses" to Director of Nursing
  • Uses two identifiers when administering medications and documents
  • Looks for performance opportunities and ensures PI activities are ongoing
  • Reports unsafe conditions to Nursing Leadership
  • Performs appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift
  • Reports and documents suicide risks to appropriate staff
  • Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
  • Maintains active nursing license
Compensation:
  • $29.00-$33.00/hr
