Powerback Pediatrics offers comprehensive services for the entire childhood age range. From birth - 3 years old in our Early Intervention program, through age 17 in our school or community based programs. Our therapists understand the physical, mental, psychological, and social needs of young children and students and use their skills to teach, support, and encourage them to overcome challenges and reach new possibilities.

Early Intervention services are provided in a child's typical learning environment such as home or preschool and available to eligible children under the age of three who may have developmental delays or disabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provides therapy services to children and initiates referrals when appropriate and in accordance with Bureau of Early Intervention procedures.
  • Conducts evaluations annually and produces six-month reviews of IFSP plan.
  • Determines need for intervention/treatment and produces IFSP goals as requested.
  • Develops treatment plans and methods to achieve identified goals.
  • Establishes treatment schedule and provides frequency of services as determined by IFSP plan.
  • Implements and conducts treatment as outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Monitors child's response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with IFSP plan.
  • Develops appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the development of the child in their own environment.
  • Provides timely services according to frequency determined by each child's IFSP plan and maintains caseload in accordance with productivity standards.
  • Produces discharge reports in advance of reaching age-out of Early Intervention to assist with transition process, or as required at discharge from caseload for any other reason.
  • Communicates and documents necessary information to family and team members for the collaboration and coordination of the child's IFSP plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
Valid license to practice in appropriate State.
Early Intervention Temporary or Full Credential.
Regular attendance.
