Position Summary The Multi-Purpose Account Executive is responsible for promoting new or additional gas service to Residential homeowners across both SJG & ETG existing distribution system. The Multi-Purpose Account Manager will increase market penetration in designated areas through new customer acquisition while promoting the benefits of energy efficiency products, programs, and services. Their primary focus will include, but not limited to, special projects such as Master Meter Conversions, Mobile Home Parks, and Renewals and/or Paving projects. This individual will build, maintain, and cultivate relationships within our HVAC contractor growth network and Marketing data opportunities. Their duties will also include meeting and formatting connections with Construction, Municipalities, and Project Managers or any necessary business clients to drive sales and growth in the Residential market by acquiring new customers. Essential Functions: Achieve sales targets by promoting natural gas installations, managing new business, and maintaining excellent customer service and satisfaction through proactive outbound calls, demonstrations, and closing sales. Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. Coordinate with our Design, Engineering, Construction & Contractor teams to develop project plans and ensure project requirements and specifications are met. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety and building regulations, and maintain high-quality standards. Manage project documentation by preparing, reviewing, and organizing contracts. Track statuses to ensure effective communication among all stakeholders for project alignment and issue resolution. Identify and mitigate potential risks using the Master Meter Damage Management Plan, keeping Management informed throughout the project. Evaluate project and sales performance, implement improvements, and develop relationships with trade allies and financial service companies to enhance future project outcomes and achieve department/company goals. Bottom of Form Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Background: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience, with at least 2 years in successful direct sales in a commissioned sales environment; or relevant work experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or workflow management capacity. Demonstrated experience in managing projects, relationships, and processes. Experience cold calling and door to door sales. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Preferred Background: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business, construction and project development or related discipline Experience should include consultatively selling technical products. Highly desirable to have sold HVAC and related energy products and/or basic understanding of HVAC, boiler, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems (high efficiency) and their design and installation. Compensation Range: $67,500 - 108,000 We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
