What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments in both emergency and convenient care settings.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with varying acuity levels.
- Perform a wide range of bedside clinical procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, x-rays, and lab results to inform treatment decisions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
- Provide patient education and counseling to promote health and wellness.
- Document medical records accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC EMR system with Dragon for clear communication among all healthcare providers involved.
Who You Are
- Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Active Illinois license as both a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN).
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or post-master's certificate with a Nurse Practitioner specialization.
- Physician Assistant (PA):
- Active Illinois license as a Physician Assistant (PA).
- Physician Assistant certified in Medicine.
- Board certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and advanced life support certifications relevant to your practice area (ACLS, PALS) are highly valued.
