- Clean and restock the operating room, including instruments, supplies, and linens, for the next surgical case.
- Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including instrument counts and patient information.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Completion of a surgical technologist program or equivalent education and training.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Understanding of sterile techniques, infection control, and aseptic practices.
- Certification as a surgical technologist (Certified Surgical Technologist, CST) is often required or preferred.
