Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) – Transplant Care Coordinator!!

Job Summary

  • Has responsibility for coordinating clinical aspects of the transplant patient care.
  • Maintains 24-hour accountability for the coordination of deceased organ offers. 
  • Facilitates quality patient care for transplant patients, donors and their families.
  • Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary transplant team.
  • The Coordinator works with patients and their families beginning with evaluation and continuing through post-transplant phases, in a compassionate and professional manner in order to achieve excellence and continuity in-patient care throughout the phases of transplantation

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
  • Minimum of two to four year’s medical/surgical nursing experience or nephrology experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required. 
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota may be required depending on patient/job assignment.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, no weekends or holidays; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

  • $32.50 - $48.75 per hour
