The Siemens Industry, Inc. distribution center in Roebuck, SC is seeking Mechanical Engineer to be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team. As a Mechanical Engineer , you will review and process incoming orders, design custom Components and Assemblies, create documentation for manufacturing, construct Bill of Materials, and answer inquiries concerning the orders. This candidate will report to the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor and will have no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming orders to verify all information required to process the order is available and correct

  • Produce detailed documentation for manufacturing

  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external entities

  • Provide Mechanical Design support for manufacturing and assembly.

  • Assist in the coordination of activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.

  • Identify and resolve semi-complex problems and apply problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

  • Professional communication to customers and sales force to maintain high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Develop technical suggestions to deliver solutions to customers.

  • Use best practices, lessons learned and good judgment to identify potential issues with Customer incidents as they arise and report them.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)

  • Ability to read Engineering drawings.

  • 3D Modeling software knowledge (Creo preferred)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be independent and capable of effective time management and ability to adapt to each customer.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Busway, Panels and/or Switchboard Design

  • Base knowledge of electrical products.

  • SAP experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Teamcenter Knowledge

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
