Overview:

The Social Skills Clinical Supervisor is responsible for creating and implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs and providing oversight for specific cases within the Verbal Beginnings community per clinical guidelines. They will utilize, understand, and apply work practices aligned with the core values and strategic plan of Verbal Beginnings. The Clinical Supervisor will report to and work closely with the Social Beginnings Program Director.

Social Beginnings (SB) offers ABA-based social skills groups during after school hours throughout the school year. Children meet in small groups and participate in structured groups utilizing social skills curriculum based on the principles of ABA. Lessons include group instruction, structured play to practice newly learned skills, and guided free play to promote the occurrence of newly learned skills in the natural environment.

Compensation & Schedules:

  • Compensation: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
  • Paid BACB Supervision opportunities : Up to an additional $8k per year!
  • Schedule : Part Time, Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-7:30pm. BCBAs can commit to a 2-day or 4-day schedule during the school year. There is flexibility with this program! BCBAs must be available for additional family trainings (up to 10 billable hours/month) in addition to the program hours. More hours available if interested in taking additional home based clients into your caseload.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times
  • Provide the designated level of direct, supervisory, and consultative ABA services to assigned clients.
  • Administer all aspects of assigned clients ABA programs, including:
    • Initial and ongoing assessments of skills and deficits, including completing assigned assessments and reports by due date
    • Creation and implementation of appropriate programming per the clients Treatment Plan
    • Analysis and monitoring of program data and progress
    • Training of and ongoing clinical and administrative supervision of ABATs and RBTs working with the Clinical Supervisors assigned clients, including regular communication with subordinates both within and outside of sessions
    • Training of and coordination with caregivers of assigned clients and other service providers, including regular communication with clients caregivers both within and outside of sessions
  • Ensure that assigned clients programs are appropriate and effective
  • Document billed services, including keeping records of session dates and times, description of services provided, and additional documentation as assigned
  • Attend training and supervision meetings with SB Manager & SB Director
  • Comply with Company and BACB guidelines at all times

SB Functions

  • Hold group screenings to apply appropriate therapeutic fit and clinical dosage of services
  • Develop and maintain social curriculum for the after school program
  • Provide supervisory services for the after school program
  • Train and supervise SB staff and clinical staff during social groups
  • Assist SB Manager with assessments and reports related to the social skills treatment
  • Collaborate with clinical and field teams as needed for clients specific programming
Qualifications:
  • You need a Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.

  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Experience working in and developing ABA based social skills programs preferred.
  • Experience supervising implementation of ABA-based treatment programs by RBTs.
  • Completion of BCBA supervision training.
  • Hold a current state license in Maryland, or be in process to acquire it.
  • 3+ years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience working with children with behavior problems.
  • Experience conducting family training on ABA based treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and excitement to work with others!
