We are currently hiring an Application Analyst to support one of our federal clients in Northern Virginia. This role requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI. The ideal candidate works well with a team and has the desire and aptitude to learn new software, cloud applications and information technology concepts. This role is part of a broader team implementing and maintaining SAP solutions. As a functional analyst you will work closely with customer end users and developers to translate current processes into requirements for configuration and development of new functionality.
In this position, you can expect to:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for new software applications
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance
  • Serve as a liaison between technical team and the stakeholders
  • Design and develop new functions or improving existing ones
  • Gather and analyze requirements to design or enhance new processes to improve user experience.
  • Interface with senior leadership for guidance on information strategy, vision, and priorities
  • Create documentation such as requirements specifications, test scripts, user guides, and files.
  • Perform quality assurance testing of new software releases to ensure that they meet stated requirements.
  • Provide technical support to end users and helping them troubleshoot issues with software applications.
As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile engineers who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with requirements gathering and development
  • Strong analytical as well as organizational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with database management and system integration principles
  • Active TS/SCI + CI polygraph required
  • Ability to learn functional concepts quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Communicates relevant messages on time and with constructive feedback to cross-functional colleagues & managers
  • Prior experience with enterprise software or cloud applications, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, Google
