Duties/Responsibilities
Ideal candidates will handle everyday duties including directing, training and supervising a one or two-man field crew in collecting survey data and providing construction staking services. This includes experience in the following types of surveys: ALTA/NSPS, boundary/as-built (ranging from raw land through all phases of construction), topographic and tree locate, FEMA.
Knowledge of current GPS equipment, robotic systems and networks is required. Familiarity with and ability to operate all standard instruments required for collection of survey data (robotic total station, data collector, Autolevel) is also required.
Proficiency in drawing sketches and taking field notes.
Drafting ability (AutoCAD experience) is preferred, but not a requirement.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience leading a survey crew or in a similar role.
- A high school diploma/GED diploma required.
- A valid Georgia Driver’s License and clean driving record is required.
- Strong work ethic with good verbal and written communication skills.
