General Summary
The Shift Supervisor bakes bread in accordance with Izzio's standards and unique recipes. Must Assist the Operations and Assistant Production Managers in such manner that ensures the quality and safety standards for both our product and our employees. Train employees correct procedures and techniques to achieve consistent quality products throughout the shift. Work with employees to improve efficiency and maintain a clean working environment. Work with management to keep staff engaged on tasks, and working within the schedule that is provided.
Essential Functions
•Assist with management of existing production standards and methods with a focus on quality and yield. Including specifications for standards, weights, bake times and all production control processes.
•Monitor production to keep employees fully engaged. Maintaining the workflow and utilizing downtime to keep employees working and cleaning throughout the shift.
•Maintain a presence on the production floor to support and work with all employees in the production department.
•Maintain required production reports and records, ensuring accuracy.
•Monitor product specs, ensure correct specs are maintained, and report to management any issues involving quality.
•Assist with the implementation of training programs. Work with employees to understand and follow correct production procedures.
•Coordinate with Quality Department and Production Staff to ensure compliance with uniform product standards.
•Coordinate with Sanitation and Production Staff to ensure plants and equipment meet regulatory requirements for cleanliness and product safety.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Position Requirements - Must meet position requirements to apply
•High school Diploma
•Applicants are required to have relevant studies in Culinary arts or Food Science and/or a minimum of one (1) year experience in artisan baking.
•Applicants are required to have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
•Applicants are required to have a minimum of one (1) year of experience managing teams of 15 or more people.
•A passion for bread and a positive attitude.
•A well-developed understanding of the artisan baking process and the ability to apply that knowledge to help the team bake breads to the Izzio Standard.
•Well-developed manual dexterity and fine motor skills for artisan bread production
•Strong organizational skills.
•Strong math and writing skills.
•Some experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•Able to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
•Maintain regular, consistent attendance & punctuality. Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
•Able to communicate clearly with others while maintaining a positive working environment.
•Responsible and accountable for documenting production variables utilizing standards set by the Operation Managers.
Bilingual is a plus!

•In this position there is a lot of walking, standing and bending.
•Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
•There is exposure to extreme temperatures (cold and hot).
•There is exposure to dust and food allergens.

•Lifting 50 pounds frequently. All Lifts over 50 Pounds require assisted lifting
•All machines are equipped with Protective guards. All safety protocols must be followed.
