<strong>Title: IT Infrastructure Manager</strong><br><br><strong>Description</strong><br><br>New-Indy Containerboard (NICB) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager, with a keen focus on optimization, reliability and performance of all cloud and on-premises IT services, being responsible for the overall management and support of the enterprise network, infrastructure and end-user computing technologies deployed at NICB. The right candidate for this position can leverage technology to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence within the 24/7/365 manufacturing facilities across North America. The IT Infrastructure Manager leads all activities related to the broad range of tools and technologies deployed which includes LANs & WANs, VPN, PTP circuits, wireless infrastructure, servers, virtualization, storage and backups, Office365, VOIP, end-user software and hardware, peripherals and conference room technologies. This includes having tasks delegated to team members, handling complex technical troubleshooting for IT services that are critical to business operations, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and boosting operational excellence. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking platforms and tools, overall manufacturing technology sectors, and is driven to understand all aspects of NICB's business, in assuring the effectiveness of the IT infrastructure solutions deployed, and in collaborating to the continuous improvement of NICB's Enterprise IT & OT organization going-forward.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br><br><strong>High-level Day to Day Problem Resolution:</strong><br><br>Leverage your technical skills to resolve tickets and problems escalated related to Infrastructure IT services. <br><br>Determine root cause of problems and eliminate those barriers to success. <br><br>Work with end users to ensure proper training. <br><br>Document all systems, SMEs and system connectivity to ensure support success.<br><br>Maintain support agreements on pertinent technologies within the site and maintain that support to minimize technology impacts on the business.<br><br><strong>High-level Strategy & Planning </strong><br><br>Work with site leadership and NICB's Enterprise IT & OT teams to develop and maintain and roadmap of the infrastructure technology stack, including the manufacturing technology areas.<br><br>Develop enterprise support SMEs, establish comprehensive training programs.<br><br>Alert management to emerging trends in incidents. <br><br>Work with the business process owners to develop and maintain enterprise Business Continuity Plans.<br><br>Drive continuous improvement at the site through technology innovation and process optimization. Use your experience and the knowledge you gain from engaging with the manufacturing sites and NICB's Enterprise IT & OT teams to drive projects and initiatives that provide tangible business value.<br><br><strong>IT Infrastructure Management Outline</strong><br><br><strong>Governance & Planning</strong><br><br>Manage the infrastructure team to ensure all infrastructure, networking and end-user technology services are maintained in a multi-site 24/7 environment across North America.<br><br>Collaborate with NICB's Enterprise IT & OT teams, executive management, and department leaders to assess near- and long-term infrastructure capacity needs.<br><br>Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure configuration, processes, and service records.<br><br>Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for overall infrastructure administration, usage, and disaster recovery.<br><br><strong>Acquisition & Deployment</strong><br><br>Design and deploy enterprise infrastructure technologies such as LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including firewalls, servers, storage and backups, routers, switches, UPSs, and all other hardware.<br><br>Conduct research on infrastructure products, services, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the infrastructure industry.<br><br>Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.<br><br>Develop and manage relationship with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure products and services.<br><br><strong>Operational Management</strong><br><br>Configure overall infrastructure to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.<br><br>Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.<br><br>Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.<br><br>Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.<br><br>Manage servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.<br><br>Coordinate and execute patching of all systems and networking equipment as available patching windows and as guided by the NICB Enterprise Security team.<br><br>Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.<br><br>Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.<br><br>Participate in managing all infrastructure security solutions.<br><br>Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.<br><br>Collaborate with NICB's Enterprise Security Team to ensure security compliance and hardening of all systems and networking equipment. <br><br>Manage and/or provide guidance to other members of the team.<br><br><strong>Position Requirements</strong><br><br><strong>Skills & Qualifications</strong><br><br>Bachelor's in business, IT or similar discipline, or commensurate equivalent work experience in a technology field.<br><br>Organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up, documentation preparation and maintenance skills, and customer service orientation are crucial for success in this role. <br><br>Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning.<br><br>Exceptional written and oral communication skills.<br><br>Experience within or supporting 24x7 manufacturing environments.<br><br>Extensive application support experience with MS Office. <br><br>Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL. <br><br>5 years direct experience in designing and managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions, processes and teams.<br><br>Proven experience in developing enterprise level infrastructure solutions.<br><br>In-depth knowledge of Microsoft server operational systems and virtualization platforms (VMWare).<br><br>Knowledge of computer hardware, networking and system administration.<br><br>Strong knowledge of implementing advanced routing protocols (OSPF, BGP etc.)<br><br>Experience with HPE or Cisco networking platforms<br><br>Knowledge of FortiGate Firewalls<br><br>Knowledge of wireless Ethernet technologies (802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.1x) a plus.<br><br>Knowledge of 1, 10, 40 and 100Gbps Ethernet required.<br><br>Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required. <br><br>Ability to absorb and retain information quickly. <br><br>Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. <br><br>Highly self-motivated and directed. <br><br>Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. <br><br>Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.<br><br>Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. <br><br>Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.<br><br>Reliable and available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.<br><br><strong>Work Conditions</strong><br><br>40-hour on-site work week. Emergency call-in availability for 24-hour production environment. <br><br>Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components. Be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.<br><br>Physically able to participate in sessions, presentations, and meetings.<br><br>Some travel may be required for the purpose of offsite software and system integration efforts.
