Position Title: Inventory Technician

Employee Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Heath Blundell, Vice President of Operations

Employment Status: Full-Time

Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm (some overtime)

Rate of Pay: $20+ Depending on qualifications

Job Summary:


The Inventory Coordinator supports the attainment of corporate vision and strategies and manages all activities in support of the vision. The Inventory Coordinator works with Shop Supervisor to guarantee excellent customer service, production efficiency, assists in meeting overall operational goals and objectives, and works independently making complex decisions related to work being performed. 

Essential Duties: 


  • Verifies and keeps records on shipments, receipts, materials, using manual files and detailed computer systems. 
  • Coordinates UPS, FedEx, and other parcel shipping. 
  • Verifies weight and product against bills of lading, or packing slip.
  • Compares inventory records with physical counts of inventory, works through and investigates inaccuracies.
  • Inspects all incoming goods for damage and reports defects to appropriate personnel.
  • Delivers goods to the appropriate department/storage area and issues items into the correct operation areas. 
  • Coordinates reclamation and transport of scrap materials, ensuring maximum recovery. 
  • Assists with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Responsible for maintaining Warehouse/ Yard in clean and orderly fashion with ready access to all stored items.
  • Brings up units from the yard to begin the remanufacturing process. 
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement through team meetings. 
  • Additional or different duties may be assigned occasionally at employer’s discretion.

Knowledge/Skills/Other Requirements: 


  • Proficiency in operation of forklift, pallet truck, overhead crane.
  • Broad knowledge of transformer components and proper handling procedures.
  • Strong computer skills. 
  • Decision making skills.
  • Strong people skills. 



Physical and Environmental Requirements: 


  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Many decisions are made in a team environment, allowing all employees great opportunity for personal growth. 
  • Expected to work overtime during periods of peak demand. 
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety footwear and safety clothing.
