About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Systems Change Lab, a pivotal role in the organization's mission to revolutionize the foster care system. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of driving nationwide, catalytic change, and will be responsible for defining the vision and roadmap for the Systems Change Lab. This includes leading the development and execution of high-impact projects, collaborating with a diverse range of partners, and managing a portfolio of initiatives to ensure maximum impact. The role demands a strategic thinker, a relentless problem solver, and a diplomatic leader with a proven track record in systems change work, particularly in the social sector. The Vice President will also be instrumental in building and leading a team, promoting a culture that reflects the organization's principles, and advocating for the System Design Method at the state and national level.Candidates for the Vice President position must have a deep commitment to the organization's mission and a nuanced understanding of systemic, structural oppression, and inequity. They should be adept at working in a non-partisan fashion, ensuring that all voices are heard and considered. The role requires a leader with at least 9 years of experience in managing high-performing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives, ideally with a background in the social sector and experience with vulnerable populations. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to create compelling presentations and to translate ideas into actionable strategies. The Vice President will be expected to center the voices and experiences of people with lived experience in all aspects of the work and to be comfortable with ambiguity, constantly seeking innovative ways to drive systems change in child welfare.
