<p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:inherit;"><p><u><b>This will be onsite 5 days a week in<span><span> our Winston/Salem plant located in Kernersville, North Carolina.</span></span></b></u><p><b>What you will do</b><p><span>Lead initiatives for the health and safety of the workforce by monitoring and evaluating industrial hygiene programs at Clarios' Winston/Salem, NC facility to resolve and improve potential health risks, in accordance with Federal, State, Local, and Corporate requirements.</span><p><b>How you will do it</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Implement an effective industrial hygiene program in accordance with Federal, State, Local, and Corporate requirements, to monitor and assess employee exposure to current and potential health factors and to measure effectiveness of programs and procedures in accordance with Clarios Manufacturing System, ACGIH and other applicable IH standards.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Working under the direction of the IH Manager, you will partner with the broader Environmental, Health &amp; Safety team (to include a local EHS Site Manager, Environmental Engineer, Nursing, etc.) HR, and Plant Leadership teams to identify and deploy solutions that reduce occupational exposures and drive positive improvements in critical industrial hygiene metrics.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop strategies to reduce and eliminate health and wellness risks within the workplace, ranging from air filtration, ventilation, engineering controls, PPE, etc.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive Clarios Best Business Practices and oversee its incorporation into the Clarios Management System.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Educate and train plant hourly and salary personnel in effective industrial hygiene and ventilation practices and procedures.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead efforts to effectively manage Legal, Governmental, and Corporate industrial hygiene records according to standards.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Review all manufacturing and support operations to assure ongoing, effective industrial hygiene practices. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Assess and analyze data, summarize statistics, and compile reports for improvement initiatives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain current awareness of applicable International, Federal, State and local health, industrial hygiene and safety regulations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain professional competency through participation in professional education and training programs and completion of any necessary requirements to maintain professional credentials.</span></p></li></ul><p><b>What we look for</b><p><b>Required</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Chemistry or related field</span></p></li><li><p><span>Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an industrial hygiene or safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to travel up to 5% (ie. training <span>opportunities and EHS Summit)</span></span></p></li></ul><p><b>Preferred</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Previous experience with OSHA, ACGIH, or other equivalent international organizations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Graduate degree in Industrial Hygiene or Certified Industrial Hygienist is a plus, but not required</span></p></li></ul><p>LI-ONSITE<p>LI-AL<p><div><p><b><span>Winston-Salem - Assembly Plant</span></b><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p></div><div><p><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p></div><div><p><span><span>Our Winston-Salem, North Carolina assembly plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications.
