Job Description: TMC Technologies is in search of an Cloud Engineer to support a federal client in Rosslyn, VA. The candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before start date and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance due to federal contract requirements. This role supports the Computer Investigations and Forensics (CIF) team within the CTI Office. The Cloud Engineer will: Lead effort to move a stand-alone, air-gapped, network into a cloud environment, such as AWS or Azure. Consult with customer to gather and evaluate technical and business requirements and translate these requirements into technical solutions. Develop and provide a project plan, system cost analysis, and timelines. Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud services and Infrastructure as Code utilizing SecDevOps tooling and practices. Provide technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies and expert advice to the program, and related cloud computing architectures. Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications for clients. Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics for clients in research and production areas. Work with massive data sets, complex algorithms, and team members from a variety of specialties to solve clients’ hardest problems. Support a range of clients from front line analysts to researchers and senior leadership. Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, and highly skilled team. Experience with information extraction and analysis techniques, practices, and algorithms.

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 14 years of related technical experience required. 4 addtional years of related experience can be used in lieu of degree. Ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before start date and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Possess or be able to obtain before start date at least one of the following certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCED or GCIH. Experience leveraging cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own solution architecture (applications and data technologies). Demonstrated ability to propose suggestions and best practices to optimize customers’ cloud presence, performance, security, and cost.
