Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093Work hours: PRN - Days/As needed: Variable weekdays and weekends Outpatient Rehab Department highlights:Engaged Staff and Leadership Inclusive team focused on providing exceptional patient care Here's What You Need Bachelor's Degree, Completion of a Physical Therapy program, upon hire required PT - Physical Therapist, Texas Physical Therapy License, upon hire required and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required Outpatient neuro and vestibular experience highly preferred, MLD and/or ortho experience preferredWhat You Will Do Performs age-appropriate patient treatmentUses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatmentPerforms treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional licensePerforms/delegates technical procedures appropriately and safelyUtilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessaryDetermines patient response to treatment and evaluates progress (reassessment)Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipmentMaintains patient safety throughout treatmentCommunicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issuesDemonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needsMotivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapyAdditional perks of being a Texas Health Physical TherapistBenefits include 401k, as well as several other benefits.Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.Entity Highlights:Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney.
