HVAC Technician

We are seeking an HVAC Technician with expertise in facility preventive and corrective maintenance work. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client, a leading commercial facility maintenance provider located in Albany, GA
 

Pay: $28- $33 per hour (Based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (paid after the first 90 days)
Benefits: Full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, and 401k

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment per work orders.
• Complete documentation of work performed in compliance with CMMS.
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain safe operation of systems including environmental controls, boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose problems using proper inspection/testing techniques.
• Familiarize quickly with facility layouts and operating procedures.
• Perform work according to safety procedures, company policies, OSHA, and client standards.
• Inspect work for compliance with local building and safety codes.
• Escort subcontractors as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of HVAC-related equipment and skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general building maintenance.
• Strong commercial or institutional experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Three or more years’ experience in building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Willing to work occasional on-call shifts.
• EPA & HVAC certification required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
