Role and Responsibilities: • Perform Routine Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly. • Support Preventative Maintenance Programs: Participate in the development and execution of preventative maintenance programs. • Document Maintenance Activities: Record all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent. • Communicate with Team Members: Effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and report issues. • Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose problems with machinery and equipment, identifying the root causes of malfunctions. • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. • Assist with Installations: Help install new equipment and machinery, following manufacturer instructions and company guidelines. • Operate Hand and Power Tools: Safely use a variety of hand and power tools required for maintenance tasks. • Monitor Inventory: Keep track of maintenance supplies and tools, reporting low inventory levels to supervisors. ADDITIONAL NOTES A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.
