Here is what a typical day might look like as an HVAC Maintenance Technician:

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures on commercial HVAC equipment – it’s something new every day!
  • Perform scheduled maintenance such as replacing belts/filters and identify anomalies in HVAC equipment.
  • Log HVAC equipment such as refrigerant circuit, electrical circuit, condition of equipment, etc.
  • Ability to braze, leak checks, and the evacuation process.
  • Understands the commercial DX equipment up to/over 25 tons, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, water source heat pumps, min-splits, electric motor controls, etc.

Here are some of the skills we’re looking for in an HVAC Maintenance Technician:

  • Universal EPA Certification
  • Ability to identify HVAC equipment and components of HVAC equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electro-mechanical devices
  • Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, typical components, basic troubleshooting and typical maintenance procedures
