Motlow positions are contingent upon funding availability and budget approval.</p> <p> <strong> </strong></p> <p> <strong>General Function:</strong> </p> <p>Provides Professional Human Resources services throughout the employment cycle.</p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong> <strong> </strong></p> <p>Bachelor's Degree earned from a regionally accredited institution and one year of professional human resources or training experience. Professional Human Resources or training experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p> <p>PHR or SHRM-CP </p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>* Prepares, reviews and processes, all requests for vacancy posting and ensures all administrative requirements, required advertisements and notifications are completed. </p> <p>* Train, advise and assists hiring managers by guiding them through the posting, requisition and hiring processes, including providing information about applicable statutes, policies or rules.</p> <p>* Based on training needs assessment develop a training program for HR related subjects, general professional development, and identified technical or soft skills to be offered to faculty and staff. Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. Present or facilitate employee training utilizing a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Assess the effectiveness of training and make recommendations for program improvement. </p> <p>* Assists HR Generalist with new employee onboarding including onboarding asset development, presentations, checkpoints, and follow up. Assists in assimilating new employees into the institutional culture, vision and community college environment. </p> <p>* Coordinates employment background check process. Initiates, tracks and reviews backgrounds to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, policies and procedures.</p> <p>* Prepares, analyzes, processes, and corrects human resources transactions and documents for employee appointments, promotions, demotions, reclassifications, separations, terminations, transfers, retirement, and information changes</p> <p>* Advises internal and external applicants on the hiring process and responds to inquiries related to requisitions, status and the hiring process.</p> <p>* Ensures that required records are compiled and stored in a manner consistent with applicable statutes, policies and procedures.
