Job Summary As the Director of Marketing, you will develop and manage comprehension marketing and business strategies for Sirius Education Solutions’ supplemental print and digital products that address authentic TEKS-based instruction, STAAR test preparation, STAAR practice, accelerated instruction, and benchmarking for the Texas K-12 education market. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and require minimal oversight. The Director of Marketing will lead and oversee the organization's marketing efforts, including but not limited to developing year-long strategic plans, creating and executing marketing campaigns, managing budgets, and leading marketing projects and teams, including staffers, freelancers, and vendors. In this role, you will direct customer research to advise leadership on the company’s product roadmap and customer communication at the school and district levels. The Director of Marketing will work closely with leadership and the sales team to help ensure revenue goals are met. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in marketing in K-12 education. This is a full-time senior-level remote position that reports to the President. Supervisory Responsibilities Selects and manages vendors and freelancers to execute marketing projects effectively. Determines potential future staffing needs and supervises potential marketing staff. Duties/Responsibilities Works with executive team and sales to determine marketing strategies and plans. Responsible for directing and executing marketing materials, including the company website, print and digital collateral materials, webinars, email marketing, and social media. Creates and manages development schedule and workflow for marketing and sales support materials to ensure timely and on-budget completion. Develops and oversees annual marketing budget and plan, including benchmarks for measuring success impact on sales/revenue. Utilizes market and customer research to help identify new market opportunities, customer needs and preferences, product roadmaps, and develop compelling messaging/positioning. Helps implement data analytics to track customer usage, preferences, and responses and inform product direction, marketing initiatives, and messaging. Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches. Prepares effective marketing campaigns based on market and competitive research. Maintains knowledge of the company’s products and services and competing products and services. Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization. Establishes and upholds the company's “brand.” Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to understand Sirius’ products and articulate their value. Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices. Development processes for print, web, and video-based marketing materials. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Preferred Skills/Abilities Familiarity with Zoho One. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred. At least 5 years of professional experience in K-12 education or the K-12 market. Experience creating marketing communications for curriculum products in K-12 education with a proven understanding of the K-12 education market. Proven success in the creation and management of marketing and advertising campaigns. Experience marketing supplemental materials and eLearning products is preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 or more pounds.
