Description
We are seeking a Helpdesk Support Technician to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our internal employees. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide desktop and peripheral support (Monitors, Printers, Scanners) for branch offices and remote employees.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain personal computer hardware and software, including advanced troubleshooting ability with core Windows components, software, and hardware.
  • Provisioning of PC endpoints. This will include:
    • Perform operating system installations and imaging.
    • Ordering and Shipping equipment
    • Ensuring proper software deployments and configurations.
  • Provisioning of mobile device management on BYOD phones, including updating configuration and compliance policies as needed and wiping lost or stolen devices.
  • Collaborating with other technical staff and/or vendors to resolve more complex issues.
  • Some support efforts will be required outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends, in addition to occasional travel to offsite offices.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11 Operating System and Office 365 product suite.
  • Basic networking knowledge (OSI model, TCP/IP, subnets, DHCP, DNS)
  • Detail oriented individual with good follow-up, follow-through, and finisher of tasks, tickets, and projects
  • Organizational skills are a must, as you will have to handle multiple service requests at once
  • Ability to learn and willingness to take on more complex tasks
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to clearly relay technical data to non-technical individuals
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License AND reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry no more than 50 pounds of equipment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
  • Proficiency in Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Intune, Windows Deployment Toolkit (WDT) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience with Intune Autopilot deployments
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with VoIP phone systems
  • Ability to train end users on software applications
