Responsibilities:
  • Verify all E-stops are operational and all guards in place prior to start up.
  • Assemble label machine (following cleaning) as needed.
  • Retrieve glue from Label Room Attendant. Ensure proper glue for run.
  • Verify labels received from Label Room Attendant are correct by comparing label attached to box(es) to spec sheet (issued by QA), which is done by comparing the UPC code.
  • Test a sample jar at dud detector at beginning of shift.
  • Check labels for any defects.
  • Fluff labels and load into Label Machine.
  • Verify video jet codes printed on cans or jars are legible and correct using spec sheet.
  • Complete the Label Machine Check Sheet throughout the shift and the 15 Minute Glass Inspection Sheet every 15 minutes. Document all downtime on line Downtime Sheet as necessary. Submit all Sheets to Lead or Supervisor at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the day.
  • Communicate with Label Machine Operator stepping in at shift change with any issues experienced throughout the shift (as applicable).
  • Work safe and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Responsible to ensure food safety/quality polices are followed, to report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
  • Responsible to make sure a good safe wholesome product is produced safely.
Minimum Experience:
  • Less than 1 year
