Responsibilities
- Create electrical design for Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) and Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) according to requirements
- Create design specifications, schematics, and component layouts for control and electrical systems
- Manage budget and executing design within scope
- Work with internal and external parties to ensure systems conform to standards, deliverables, and evaluate technical risks
- Work with the manufacturing facility to support the build and testing of AGVs
- Provide remote support for customers and commissioning team, troubleshooting AGV issues
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite in Novi, MI daily
- 5+ years of electrical design experience
- Ability to read and design electrical schematics and layouts
- AGV or AMR experience
- Remote and in-person electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs as needed, climb ladders/work at heights
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Automation equipment design experience preferred (panels, power distribution, control devices, wire routing, etc.)
