LPN Residential Program

LPN Residential Care FT evening shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm with e/o weekend Assists in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment that respects resident rights. Administers medications, transcribes orders. Intervenes with residents in an high acuity residential respite setting Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures. Provides nursing care based on the residents treatment plan, under the supervision of the registered nurse. Assists the resident with activities of daily living, encouraging independent behavior, when appropriate. Provides education as directed on health related topics Uses safe and appropriate de-escalation/restraint techniques when needed. Schedules appointments with physicians and other healthcare providers Accompanies residents to appointments Administrative duties such as assisting with staff scheduling Requirements: Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing. Current Maryland state licensure as a practical nurse. One year experience in medical-surgical nursing, with one additional year of psychiatric nursing preferred. Ability to multitask in a stressful environment. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team format. Knowledge of Child and Adolescent psych preferred. Ability to pass a crisis intervention program that includes physical restraint. Starting pay based on experience and qualifications. Evening, Overnight, and Weekend shifts pay an extra shift differential
