Michigan Public Health Institute is seeking a Senior Informatics Analyst in Lansing, MI Duties: Research, collect, consolidate, analyze, and maintain critical business processes for Vital Records systems (Electronic Death Registry System-EDRS, Birth Registry System-BRS, Central Paternity Registry-CPR, Marriage & Divorce modules) to understand impact on workflow and determines client IT needs. Establish, and evaluate programs, understand business and technology integration for the vital record systems used by the Division of Vital Records and Health Statistics, recommend process improvement procedures. Perform IT testing including but not limited to system, integration, regression, stress, load, and user acceptance. Develop and maintain databases to store data and track research progress. Employer permits telecommuting. Requirements: Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related degree. Five years' experience as a Business Analyst. Knowledge of the tools of management, such as methods development, cost analysis, procedural manuals, training materials, operating controls, records and reports, and studies applicable in evaluating programs or services. Knowledge of the principles and methods of research, statistics, operational analysis, cost analysis, and finance of public and private programs.
