Our client, the Multi-cultural Health Evaluation Delivery System, an organization who values Flexible, Ethical, Positive Communicators, Culturally Competent, Productive, and Team Players has a need for a Help Desk Associate . Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Administrative Duties
  • Create and handover necessary accounts access for onboarding employees and provide support to new staff through orientation on MHEDS specific technical systems
  • Gives technical assistance and support for incoming questions and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Assesses and troubleshoots computer support problems, performs diagnostic tests on programs, finds problems, determines and implements solutions, applying understanding of computer software and hardware products and services.
  • Receives and responds to telephone calls and emails from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software, programming languages, electronic mail, or operating systems.
  • Asks questions to ascertain from computer users the nature of problems; determines if problems are caused by hardware, such as modem, printer, cables, or telephone; formulates diagnosis; and assists users through problem solving steps.
  • Talks with co-workers to research problems and find solutions.
  • Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
  • Writes software and hardware evaluations and recommendations for management review.
  • Writes or revises user-training manuals and procedures.
  • Develops training materials, such as exercises and visual displays.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance for users of Electronic Health Record system
  • Trains users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom or recommends outside contractors to provide training.
  • Follows up with users to ensure issues have been resolved.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to MHEDS employees for annual UDS data upload by gaining familiarity and remaining familiar with all aspects of the UDS system
  • Provide suggestions to Chief Information Officer to improve cross functionality of EHR with UDS system

Education and/or Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Proficient in computer processing, and general office skills. Ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required. Experience in a healthcare setting helpful but not required. Must be able to work effectively within a multicultural workforce environment.

Language Skills:
Must be able to speak and write in English. Additional language capabilities are a plus.

Physical Demands:
Normal medical/administrative office setting demands include lifting and carrying or delivering supplies that usually weigh less than 10 pounds, but may occasionally weigh 20-30 pounds, within the building.

Work Environment:
The office and clinical areas are well illuminated, climate controlled, indoor areas. Work involves some exposure to hazards typical to a medical office environment, including potential exposure to infectious diseases and blood borne pathogens, chemical exposures, fire, mechanical and electrical hazards. Protective clothing and equipment are provided and required to be worn in potential exposure situations.
