We foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace, in which our global teams are united by an unwavering commitment to deliver <b><span>Better Health and a Brighter Future</span></b> to people around the world.</p><p>Here, you will be a vital contributor to our inspiring, bold mission.</p><p><b>OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE </b></p><p>.</p><p>The PharmSci Head of Operations & Partnerships provides global leadership and overall strategic direction for:</p><ul><li><p>Global PS manufacturing operations across all sites (Cambridge, MA; Lexington, MA; Shonan - Yokohama, Japan; Vienna, Austria)</p></li><li><p>Global and local site lab and business operations</p></li><li><p>External Partnership Management including CDMOs and Device Suppliers</p></li><li><p>Internal partnership interfaces across R&D and with GMS/GQ</p></li><li><p>Strategic Portfolio Management including administration of key CMC governance meetings</p></li></ul><p><b>ACCOUNTABILITIES</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead the finalization and implementation of a new Early Clinical Manufacturing Strategy including oversight of design, construction and start-up of new facilities</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process development, quality, regulatory, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of facilities into the broader organization.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical leadership and support to ensure that facilities(s) is(are) fully optimized for efficient and flexible operation.</p></li><li><p>Set the strategic direction for PS site operations and global and local partnership operations in collaboration with other Takeda functions and external stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Accountable for driving global PS business operations such as budget, reporting, planning, resource management, governance, data management & collaboration. Provide close linkages between functional planning and the finance and HR organizations</p></li><li><p>Responsible for strategy and operating model for PS external partnerships including CDMO and Medical Device supply partners, ensuring satisfaction of PS stakeholder needs</p></li><li><p>Ensure partnership with R&D Portfolio Operations to develop, implement and manage portfolio priorities and portfolio management information systems for R&D and PS</p></li><li><p>Accountable for seamless interfaces with internal R&D partners including but not limited to Research, CEI, TAUs, Global Development Office, GRA ensure optimal planning and escalation processes.</p></li><li><p>Drive the overall partnership with Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) and Global Quality (GQ) organizations and develop working frameworks as needed to support efficient implementation of the product operating model (to commercialize new medicines).Ensures effective internal collaboration across PS and with the PSPL organization for effective execution against the frameworks at the asset level.</p></li></ul><p><b>EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:</b></p><ul><li><p>Advanced degree preferred with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on early-stage clinical manufacturing operations and supplier relationship management</p></li><li><p>Proven experience in leading and managing facility design, equipment selection and qualification, and process development and optimization for early-stage clinical manufacturing and testing.</p></li></ul><p>• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of leading successful projects in a cross-functional team environment.</p><p>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</p><p>• Ability to think creatively and critically, with a strong problem-solving mindset.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</p><ul><li><p>Senior management experience in leading a medium to large organization and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables</p></li><li><p>Operational experience in pharmaceutical drug development with significant direct exposure to clinical and CMC development</p></li><li><p>Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of large, multi-disciplinary globally dispersed teams. Strong judge of talent with the ability to make tough talent decisions.</p></li><li><p>Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry</p></li></ul><p>This position is currently classified as “hybrid” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy</p><p>Base Salary Range: $240,100.00 to $343,000.00, based on candidate’s professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well.
