Position Type: Full Time

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is not a remote position.

Salary: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $145,000 - $161,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Additional Compensation: This position is eligible for an end-of-year bonus.

Job Description:

We are looking for an Information Systems Architect to support the Space Warfighting Analysis Center's (SWAC) Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) in Colorado Springs, CO. The Information Systems Architect will work closely with the SWAC program offices to design, build, implement, and maintain an information systems architecture that focuses on a knowledge management framework and provides end-users access to the organization's digital artifacts. The Information Systems Architect will work across the organization to develop an understanding of the needs and requirements of both information contributors and end-users and will serve as the primary liaison with knowledge management tool development teams to ensure that these requirements are reflected in the deployed system. The architect must have a diverse technical background with experience architecting and implementing knowledge management infrastructures for multiple organizations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement organizational change best practices and oversee knowledge management systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content producers, analysts, and technical staff, to develop and execute a comprehensive artifact management strategy. Document requirements of the artifact contributors and end-users, ensure these requirements are met in knowledge management tool currently under development, deployment, and testing. Develop metadata standards and protocols for tagging and cataloging artifacts, enabling efficient search and retrieval of relevant content. Enforce consistent metadata practices across the organization to maintain a unified and standardized content library. Facilitate collaboration between content producers and users to streamline workflows. Ensure knowledge management policies are compliant with DoD requirements and industry best practices. Document an organization-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for knowledge management. Develop training materials and conduct training events to ensure organization compliance with the SOP. Working effectively in a cross-country, multi-disciplinary team environment Work independently and proactively to reach out to customers to determine their needs Applying critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environments Having strong communication skills (technical writing, developing presentations, etc.)

Experience required/desired: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field 12+ years of enterprise information/knowledge management experience 5+ years' experience developing Standard Operating Procedures for knowledge management Experience with advising and assisting with IM/KM policies, ensuring that they are compliant with DoD requirements and industry best practices Proficiency in metadata tagging and content categorization practices knowledge of collaboration/web service applications and information architectures Information Technology and Information Security roles and responsibilities Advanced experience with Microsoft SharePoint (desired)

Clearance Requirement:

This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
