Position Summary:
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides ongoing preventive oral care through cleaning, scaling and polishing teeth to prevent gum disease.
Requirements
Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Perform clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to: exposing/evaluating x-rays, oral cancer screening, prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, fluoride treatment
  • Educates patients on the importance of preventive care, the disease process and the role of bacteria; provides appropriate educational literature and instruction on home care
  • Maintain accurate, complete digital documentation
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and Infection Control Training
  • Sterilizes dental instruments
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Professional and friendly with great chair side manner
  • Outstanding communication skills
Education/ Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
  • Experience preferred
Special Requirements/ Certifications/ Licenses
  • Registered Dental Hygienist License
  • Licenses required for this position must be kept current, valid, and in good standing with the presiding entity
