<strong>Posting Number:</strong> <p>H0448P</p> <strong>Classification:</strong> <p>Hourly Grant Funded</p> <strong>Position Title:</strong> <p>Grant Accountant Intern</p> <strong>Status of Position:</strong> <p>Grant-Funded</p> <strong>FLSA:</strong> <p>Non Exempt</p> <strong>Position Summary:</strong> <p>: Under general supervision, is responsible for post-award grant related accounting duties, including reconciliation of grant expenditures with appropriate documentation, as well as scanning and uploading files to the grant funder. Provides grant accounting support to the Manager of Accounting Services.</p> <strong>Reporting Relationship:</strong> <p>Direct reporting relationship to the Manager of Accounting Services, with a secondary reporting relationship to Workforce Development Continuing Education.</p> <strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong> <p>1. Performs monthly reconciliation of all grant expenditures. Reviews each expenditure for in adherence to grant budget and objectives, assembles appropriate documentation, submits to the Manager of Accounting Services for approval, and then uploads to the grant funder portal. Any exceptions are reviewed and corrected prior to submission to the grant funder.2. Provides grant-related backup support to the Manager of Accounting Services as needed.3. Confidentiality is imperative.4. Other duties as assigned.</p> <strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong> <p>1. Current PSC student studying accounting, business or a related field.2. If available, experience in non-profit environment and grant accounting (budgeting, accounting, finance, or a related field).<br />3. Demonstrated experience with an integrated computer accounting system, proficiency with MS Excel or other spreadsheet software (an intermediate level).<br />4. Must be able to efficiently scan, save and upload documents.<br />5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.6. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.<br />7. Strong interpersonal skills.<br /> <br />8.
