We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to

supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as

may be required by the DON or Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for managing the clinical care of residents by assigning different tasks to nurses within the department ensuring

nursing

care

is

provided

through

assessment,

implementation,

and

evaluation

of

the

plan

of

care.

Nurse Unit Managers must have the following:

·

Nursing

Degree

or

diploma

from

an

accredited

College

or

University.

·

Possess

a

current

license

to

practice

in

the

State

as

a

Registered

Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

·

2+

years

of

supervisory

experience

preferred.

·

Long-Term

Care

and

MDS

experience

preferred.

·

Excellent

written

and

verbal

communication

skills.

·

Strong

interpersonal

and

team

development

skills.

·

Gracious

and

welcoming

personality

for

customer

service

interaction.

·

Ability

to

relate

positively,

effectively,

and

appropriately

residents,

families,

community members, volunteer, and other facility staff.

and

procedures.

HIPAA

·

Follows

and

adheres

to

Facility’s

policies

and

procedures

regarding

HIPAA

compliance.

·

Ensures

integrity

and

confidentiality

of

all

patient

financial

data.

·

Reports

all

suspected

violations

of

company’s

HIPAA

policies

and

procedures

to appropriate Administrative personnel.

·

Responsible, attentive,

knowledgeable and

provides

high

quality

care

to

patients.

·

Must

be

able

to

adapt

to

a

flexible

work

schedule

and

occasional

overnight

travel.

·

Must

be

available

to

24

hours

a

day

on-call

emergencies

support.

·

Possess

special

and

a

about,

working

with

short

and

long-term

care residents and the elderly.

·

Must

be

willing

to

participate

in

all-hands

on

dining.

·

Possess

excellent

management

skills

including

the

delegation of

responsibility

to

subordinates.

Ability

English.

Meets

all

health

requirements,

as

required

by

law.

·

Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

Perform

other

duties

as

assigned

and

consistent

with

level

of

preparation

and

experience.

As a skilled, compassionate Nurse Unit Manager, you will:

·

Makes

frequent

rounds

to

note

resident/patient

conditions

and

to

ensure

nursing

personnel

are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

·

Gives

and

receives

the

nursing

report

upon

reporting

in

and

ending

shift

duty

hours.

·

Ensures assigned work area (i.e. nurse station, med. Cart, medication room, etc.), resident/patient

care

rooms

and

treatment

areas

are

maintained

in

a

clean

and

sanitary

manner.

·

Ensures

medication

rooms

and

medication

carts

are

locked

according

to

regulation.

·

Monitors

supplies

and

orders

as

needed.

Attends

regularly

conducted

staff

meetings

as

scheduled

by

the

Director

of

Nursing/Unit

Manager.

·

Manages

and

participates

regularly

in

continuing

education

in-service

programs.

Assists the Director

of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing

activities in accordance

with

current

rules,

regulations,

and

guidelines

that

govern

the

long-term

care

facility.
