Position Supervises:

Direct Support Professional

Work Schedule: Full time position requiring flexible schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide daily supervision and direction to residential line staff and Program Specialist. Ensure the delivery of quality client services. Maintain the efficient operation of the residential facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

Staff

Provide supervision, ongoing support, and evaluation of residential trainers. Develop staff schedule to ensure 24 hour coverage. Assist with specific program orientation and training for new residential staff. Ensure ongoing communication with Residential Managers and Directors. Provide program specific orientation to new residential trainers. Client Services

Assist with the implementation of Individual Service Plans and treatment plans for all residents. Provide consultation and direction for staff regarding participant services. Model and Observe the implementation of the individual service plan objectives and supports and services. Plan and assist in the development and supervision of all participant activities. Ensure the coverage of open shifts as needed. Administer medications to participants as appropriate. Ensure narratives and incident reports are written. Meet with parents prior to and following family visits. Participate in pre-placement meetings, annual ISP meetings, and discharge meetings as requested. Attend program staff meetings and training sessions. Assist with menu planning, food supply to ensure proper nutrition and documentation for participants. Participant Responsibilities

Ensure participants' SSI and wages are spent on their behalf and within individual budgets and audit client monies as needed. Ensure participant purchasing is completed to meet needs. Complete inventory of clothing and personal belongings at least annually. Ensure participants' objectives, goals, behavior intervention plans and rights restrictions are implemented and documentation is completed. Monitor communications between participants, family and friends. Monitor medications to ensure that participants are receiving appropriate medications and that documentation occurs. Facility

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in facility. Maintain safe working conditions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire codes. Identify facility needs and communicate needs to administrative staff. Other

Provide safety-sensitive transportation services as needed. Responsible for other duties as negotiated.

POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required, in counseling, social work, or related human service field.

Experience: Minimum of two years related work experience, one of which must be in a residential setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills: Excellent communication skills, management and coordinative abilities required. Individual must possess the skills to treat and manage an adolescent population and understand the developmental needs of young people.

Licenses:

Valid Driver's License required.

Other Requirements: Requires consistent exercise of discretion and judgement in the performance of duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

A. Ability to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend on a daily basis.

B. Capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 100lbs on a daily basis.
