Nurse Practitioner - Pain Management Clinic
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized pain management plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications for pain management, ensuring safety and efficacy while minimizing potential side effects.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive pain management solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all practices comply with regulatory standards, clinic protocols, and ethical guidelines.
  • Follow-Up Care: Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for patients' needs and support their journey towards improved quality of life.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialization in Pain Management or related field is preferred.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, proficiency in pain management techniques, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of pain management practices, pharmacology, and patient care protocols.
