Responsibilities

•Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed •Keep client files properly organized and up to date •Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed •Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases •Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action

Qualifications

•Bilingual in Spanish and/or French •A bachelor's degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree is required •2-3 years of experience in working with family law required •Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) •Ability to successfully represent both the plaintiff and defendant sides of a case •Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations •At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary •Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required •Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations •Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) •Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants #J-18808-Ljbffr
