Diagnostic Imaging Receptionist

The Diagnostic Imaging Receptionist is the initial point of service for patients, visitors, and family members in the Diagnostic Imaging area. This person is responsible for all of the business components of the patient visit. These components include customer service, complete and accurate registration, appointment scheduling, and point of service collections. Representatives serve as the "go-to" person for patients waiting for care and their families.
Gathers and verifies all required, confidential health and financial information from patients while using various computer software products to assure payment from insurers. Enters new patient data and/or verifies current patient records are up-to-date, confirms the completeness of the electronic health record (EHR). Collects co-insurances upfront, and applies, adjusts, and reconciles daily point- of-service cash reports. Receptionists may be assigned to work at all South County locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Superb customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills; basic knowledge of EHR programs, medical terminology; various payer regulations and contracts; efficient time management skills and ability to multi-task; excellent writing, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; exceptional organizational, planning, coordinating and collaborating skills; strong understanding and comfort level with computer system. High school graduate or equivalent required.
