Employment Type Permanent Closing Date 4 Oct 2024 11:59pm Job Title Financial Accountant Job Summary Job Description Telstra has entered an JV relationship with a Philippines Converge ICT Solution Inc to support its Enterprise operations in Philippines. In this JV, Telstra holds an effective equity stake of 40% in DCI and a 40% equity stake in ANPC. ANPC does not have operations and is the owner of a land parcel in Nasugbu and Cavite. TCI is the main operating company and holds majority of the assets required to support Telstra customers. TCI's key assets are: * Operating licences * Philippines backhaul network * Cables and POP (Point of presence) equipment * POP at JG Summit Bldg., Makati Operating Model TCI's financial and Admin services are being previously to Converge ICT Solutions Inc, our partner. On October 2023, our partner formally rendered the non-renewal of providing services to the JV entities. The services was extended until 31 December 2023. Hence, Telstra Finance will take on the financial and admin services effective 01 January 2024. This scope of services requires to be in a timely manner and delivers a range of high-quality services. Telstra Enterprise is TCI's sole customer and TCI provides Philippines backhaul services to Telstra so that Telstra can deliver end to end International Enterprise services. TCI is funded through a revenue share arrangement with Telstra International, which percentage varies in of all Telstra international services that uses TCI backhaul. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: The General Accountant will help ensure that the following finance operational services are extended and performed for the two JV entities: * Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and any other financial reports required by the management; * Preparation and submission of financial reports/documents required to Philippines government authorities; * Operational oversight of DCI bank account. * Preparation of monthly management accounts/reports including management of key payments required within the financial year in accordance with the annual budget * Ensure that Calculated Telstra revenue share arrangements from TEI to DCI on a monthly basis are properly recorded and reflected in the books of TCI * Ensure receivables from customers are reconciled on a proactive basis * Implementation of all payment requirements on all TCI and ANPC vendors on a regular basis and without delay * Ensure all Tax, Regulatory, Government authorities compliance are performed and submitted in a timely manner * Main contact in the audit (financial, tax and any other) processes and requirement where required * Assist in monthly reporting, quarterly and annual forecasting * In charge for the Fixed Asset and assist in projects implementable for Project Bench * Advise the Treasurer of any changes to financial and reporting regulations * Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time that are related to financial and administration Success Criteria To be successful in the role, you will have: * CA/CPA fully qualified * Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting * High awareness of current technical accounting and reporting and accepted accounting practices and standards * Knowledge in SAP * Ability to navigate complex problems * With experience in handling year-end audit * Experience of financial systems and processes * Strong Analytical Skills * Strong time management skills * Strong knowledge of Philippine Tax Laws and regulations * Ability to work autonomously * Accurate and clear communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to create and build strong relationships * Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to deadlines We fully embrace flexibility and choice at Telstra and it's as unique as you.
