The Data Assistant maintains the electronic records of constituents of Combined Jewish Philanthropies. This person fulfills requests for data entry and updates in Blackbaud CRM, interfacing with staff across the organization, and maintains the Constituent Data Services (CDS) request ticketing system. This role also engages in data audits, data hygiene, and data clean-up projects that vary in size and involve input from internal stakeholders. The accuracy and integrity of CJP's database is essential to the success of the organization.

Essential Functions: Creates new records within the database for new constituents, updates essential contact, coding, and other information. Organizes returned mail and makes appropriate database changes in a timely manner. Uses a variety of online and other sources to find telephone numbers, address updates, dates of birth, occupation, and other key demographic information as needed. Maintains the Constituent Data Services request workflow by assigning and fulfilling the bulk of internal data entry request tickets, providing customer services to internal requestors. Sets up new events in the CRM, complete with any relevant coding and ticketing options. Screens obituaries and makes timely updates to records of deceased individuals. Keeps knowledgeable of how codes are being used and follows data policies and procedures. Performs scheduled data audits, correcting resulting data as needed. Assists in matching and import preparation of large sets of constituent information, ex. Special campaign giving, community-wide events. Reviews and performs requested information updates received alongside donor gifts through various channels. Measures and tracks workload at a baseline level to help optimize resources. Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation. Minimum Requirements: Education:

Associate's degree or equivalent. Experience:

1-3 years administrative work experience, including performing data entry in a Windows environment. Experience with a CRM or other fundraising database highly desired. Skills/Competencies:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and ensure clear understanding of data requests and updates High level of speed and accuracy in typing (50-60 wpm). Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, other Office products. Ability to quickly learn elements and conventions of a CRM fundraising software. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Thoroughness and curiosity to investigate inconsistencies or errors in data. Ability to handle many tasks at once. Attention to customer-service and ability to consistently work with several different departments. Flexibility to address urgent requests.

Organizational Relationships/Scope:

Reports to Director, Data Operations & Strategy. Has no direct reports.

Working Conditions:

Normal office conditions.
