Our Medical Clinic is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will be responsible for providing patient care under the direction of a health care provider, including rooming patients, performing testing and procedures, administering vaccines and medications, and scheduling referrals for patients.
- Assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information and preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate competence in the clinical skills necessary to carry out assigned job duties.
- May be required to draw and collect blood and other samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Administer vaccines and ordered medications by oral, IM, SQ, or ID routes.
- Provide education to patients and families using the Teach-back method per protocols and guidelines.
- Become certified in occupational medicine testing as directed by provider or manager within 6 months of hire date.
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety and Risk Management guidelines.
- Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
